Empire Homes Group Ltd is a fast-growing developer-contractor specialising in high-value refurbishments and bespoke small-plot new builds for investors, developers, and professional partners. We pride ourselves on delivering projects to the highest standard, with a focus on quality, efficiency, and innovation.
We are now looking for a highly organised and proactive Part-Time Admin / Bookkeeper to join our team. This role will support our operational and financial functions, with the potential to grow into a full-time position as the company expands.
Key ResponsibilitiesBookkeeping & Finance
- Record and reconcile transactions in accounting software (e.g., Xero/QuickBooks)
- Manage accounts payable and receivable
- Prepare and issue invoices to clients
- Track project expenses and cost allocations
- Assist with payroll preparation and HMRC submissions
- Maintain VAT records and assist with quarterly VAT returns
- Support financial reporting for management
Administration
- Maintain organised digital and physical filing systems
- Prepare and send contracts, purchase orders, and other documentation
- Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients for required paperwork
- Track project progress reports, stage payment schedules, and KPI data
- Assist with tender documentation and pre-qualification submissions
- Handle email and phone enquiries professionally
Office & Project Support
- Maintain and update CRM / project management systems
- Schedule meetings and prepare agendas / minutes
- Support directors with diary management and travel arrangements
- Assist with marketing administration (e.g., updating project portfolio)
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven bookkeeping experience (construction industry experience advantageous)
- Proficient in accounting software (Xero/QuickBooks/Sage) and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace
- Strong administrative skills with excellent attention to detail
- Organised, methodical, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Confident communicator with a professional manner
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
Desirable but Not Essential
- Experience in CIS (Construction Industry Scheme) administration
- Familiarity with construction contracts and payment applications
- Knowledge of tender portals and framework applications
