Summary
We are seeking a skilled Bookkeeper who is proficient using Sage 50 to join our team. The ability to use programs such as Microsoft Excel and Word is also required.
In this role, you will be responsible for inputting data, managing financial records and ensuring accurate bookkeeping practices. Your contributions will be vital in supporting our operations.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records using Sage 50 accounting software
- Manage accounts payable / receivable and ensure timely processing of invoices.
- Reconcile bank statements and prepare monthly payment runs.
- Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting processes.
- Occasionally answering telephone calls and taking messages
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role.
- Good knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in Sage 50 and comfortable working with Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
The position is estimated to require between 16 and 20 hours per week. We are reasonably flexible with regard to times and days which can be tailored to suit the right applicant.
As we are a small team there may be occasions when answering the telephone and taking messages will also be needed, so good communication skills and telephone manner are also required.
