We are seeking a bar supervisor to join our dynamic team at Burnham Beeches. In this role, you will oversee the daily operations ensuring to deliver exceptional guest services, creating a positive environment for both staff and customers. Your leadership skills will be key in helping the Clubhouse manager to maintain our reputation as a friendly, welcoming and organised club for members and their guests.
Job Purpose:
To work with the Clubhouse Manager to support the smooth operation of the bar, and dining areas. Ensuring excellent customer service, all safety aspects and compliance with relevant regulations. Supervising the staff and making sure matches/societies/functions and the day to day running of the club runs smoothly in the Clubhouse manager’s absence.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supervise front-of-house operations and team, including day to day service and functions
2. Supervise and support bar staff and waiting team
3. Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety regulations
4. Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly in the absence of the Clubhouse manager
5. Coordinate with the Head Chef ensuring events and service runs smoothy
6. Ensure daily and weekly cleaning is carried out and recoded
7. Monitor and maintain Clubhouse facilities, including cleanliness and maintenance
8. Carrying out the beer line cleaning on a weekly basis and as necessary
9. Locking up the building and setting alarms at the end of the day
10. Cashing the tills up at the end of the day
Requirements:
- Experience in a similar role, hospitality, or customer-facing roles
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work on a rota basis, an average of 40 hours per week, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Experience in beer line cleaning
