Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Baker to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and preparation, with a particular focus on baking. As a Baker, you will be responsible for creating a variety of baked goods while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. Your creativity and attention to detail will play a vital role in delivering exceptional products that delight our customers.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake a wide range of products including bread, pastries, cakes, and other baked goods.
- Follow recipes accurately to ensure consistency in taste and presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels of baking ingredients and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new recipes and improve existing offerings.
- Conduct quality checks on all baked items before they are served or sold.
- Assist in training new kitchen staff in baking techniques and food safety practices.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Baker or in a similar role within the restaurant or culinary industry.
- Strong knowledge of food production processes, including baking techniques and equipment usage.
- Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations to ensure compliance.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in both preparation and presentation of baked goods.
- A passion for baking and creativity in developing new recipes is highly desirable.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as required by the business needs.
This will also entail cleaning after end of baking duties
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £11.44-£12.74 per hour
