Overview
We are looking for a baker/pastry chef to join our team!
Who? Someone really enthusiastic about food, specifically the baked variety! Someone who has some experience laminating doughs, working with enriched doughs and creating amazing tasting fillings/toppings.
Our ideal candidate will need to be able to drive, as we have some early starts each week; this will be dictated by workload, but our team is dynamic, so we take turns and make sure we all get the balance we need!
Initially we are looking for someone around 20-25 hours per week, but this will hopefully lead to more relatively quickly, as we look to expand our operation.

Duties
- Prepare and bake a variety of artisan breads, patisserie & vienoisserie, and other baked goods.
- Ensure all food production meets quality and presentation standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels of baking ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary.
- Collaborate with the Head baker & culinary team to develop new recipes and improve existing offerings.
- Conduct regular checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance issues.
Skills
- Proven experience in food production within a kitchen environment, preferably in a bakery or restaurant setting.
- Strong baking skills with an understanding of various cooking techniques and methods.
- Knowledge of culinary principles, including food safety practices and hygiene standards.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely preparation of baked goods.
- Strong communication skills for effective teamwork within the kitchen.
- A creative mindset with the ability to innovate and experiment with flavours and presentations.

Pay: £10.00-£13.00 per hour
