Midwest Services is currently recruiting on behalf of a pioneering residential service based in Ilford, Malachi Place, which supports 42 individuals, including those with no recourse to public funds. As an Assistant Support Worker, you will play a vital role in helping break the cycle of homelessness. This position is ideal for compassionate, motivated individuals eager to make a real difference.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support residents alongside Support Workers to achieve positive, independent outcomes
- Complete day-to-day administrative tasks and reception duties
- Help maintain smooth operations across the service
- Actively contribute to creating a safe, empowering, and supportive environment
Essential Skills & Qualities:
- Genuine motivation to support vulnerable individuals
- Willingness to engage and understand the needs of homeless clients
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and teamwork
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general IT systems
- Ability to prioritise and manage a busy workload
- Language skills in Punjabi or Lithuanian are highly desirable
