We are looking for a Customer Service Apprentice to join our busy and growing organisation. They will support the inside sales and customer service functions of a manufacturing business. The role is designed to provide hands-on training in managing customer accounts, processing sales orders, and delivering excellent service. The apprentice will learn how to support sales growth, maintain strong client relationships, and ensure a seamless customer experience, while developing the skills and knowledge needed for a successful career in customer services and sales within the manufacturing sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle incoming customer enquiries via phone, email, and online platforms in a professional and timely manner.
- Support the inside sales team by preparing quotations, processing orders, and updating customer records.
- Learn how to identify customer needs and provide appropriate product/service recommendations.
- Liaise with production, logistics, and technical teams to ensure accurate order fulfilment and delivery timelines.
- Assist in maintaining long-term relationships with clients by providing excellent after?sales support.
- Monitor and track sales orders, ensuring customers are kept informed of progress.
- Update and maintain the CRM system with customer interactions, enquiries, and sales activity.
- Participate in sales meetings, training, and the apprenticeship programme to build knowledge of products, processes, and customer service best practices
Required experience/skills/qualifications:
Skills & Attributes
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer focused attitude.
- Interest in sales and the manufacturing industry.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Basic IT skills (CRM systems, Microsoft Office, email).
- Proactive and eager to learn, with a positive attitude.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
- Enthusiasm for developing a career in sales and customer service.
- Commitment to completing the apprenticeship training programme
