The Role
We’re looking for a hands-on, solutions-focused AI Digital Technical Lead to join Optegra on a 6-month fixed-term basis to help design, build, and implement practical AI features that improve the way we deliver ophthalmic care.
This role will act as the critical bridge between operational teams, clinical stakeholders, and our external AI development partners. Ensuring that every feature is user-centred, technically robust, and ready for safe deployment.
What You’ll Need
- Proven experience in digital health, product management, or healthcare transformation.
- Strong understanding of AI applications in healthcare, ideally including workflow design and patient-facing technologies.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and can translate between technical and operational languages.
- Structured thinker with a sharp eye for process detail, exception scenarios, and data requirements.
- Comfortable with creating or adapting artefacts like process maps, user stories, test cards, and SOPs.
- Experience working in an Agile or iterative delivery environment.
- Bonus: Familiarity with healthcare compliance (e.g. DCB0160, UKCA), ophthalmology, or patient communications.
