About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity that have arisen within the School Admissions and Pupil Services as an admissions officer, a great opportunity to support children getting into education. The post holder will:
- Process a range of applications in relation to the admission of school places
- Advise clients in accordance with national and local legislation/policies
- Work with a range of internal and external agencies to ensure children receive education
- Be supporting senior staff in the preparation of information for appeal hearings (admissions and exclusions)
- Provide advice on local authority and national policy in areas of responsibility
- Maintaining files and records, both manual and computerised.
- Be flexible with other duties as may, from time to time, be required within the grade for the post.
- Managing spreadsheets and keeping records up to date
About You
To apply for this post, you must have:
- Education to GCSE ‘C’ or equivalent including English Language and Mathematics, or equivalent NVQ level in administration or relevant excellent customer care experience
- Knowledge and experience of administrative processes and systems
- Evidence of good organisational skills
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulation and local policy related to this post
- Evidence of a good attendance record
- Able to work to tight timescales
- Be self-motivated, able to work under own initiative
- Experience of Microsoft Office including Microsoft Excel
