Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of our organisation. This position involves managing accounts payable, assisting with bookkeeping tasks, and ensuring accurate financial records are maintained. The successful applicant will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and experience with various accounting software.
Responsibilities
These are the main responsibility but not limited to
- Assist in managing accounts payable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
- Maintain accurate financial records and assist in the preparation of financial statements.
- Chasing payment with customers
- Updating spreadsheets and extracting data for reporting purposes
- Support the month-end and year-end closing processes by reconciling accounts and preparing necessary documentation.

- Utilise accounting software Sage, to input data and generate reports.
- Maintain an organised filing system for all financial documents and correspondence.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Accounts Assistant or in a similar role within a finance department.
- Proficiency in accounting software, particularly , Sage.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and basic accounting principles.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise effectively with colleagues and external stakeholders.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
