Job Title: Accountancy Software Trainer (Experienced)

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly experienced Accountancy Software Trainer to join our dynamic team. This role involves delivering high-quality training to clients and internal teams on major accounting platforms such as Nomi, Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, and other industry-standard tools. You will play a key role in ensuring users fully understand and benefit from our software products.
This is a client-facing position requiring excellent communication and presentation skills, a passion for teaching, and the ability to simplify complex systems for various audiences. Travel across the UK will be required to deliver on-site and remote training sessions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective training sessions (in-person and online) to clients and internal teams.
- Design and tailor training materials based on client requirements and software updates.
- Provide hands-on guidance for accounting features, workflows, and reporting tools.
- Conduct onboarding sessions for new clients and refresher courses for existing users.
- Collaborate with the product and support teams to understand software enhancements and ensure training content is current.
- Evaluate training outcomes and adjust delivery methods to enhance learning effectiveness.
- Travel to client sites across the UK as required (with occasional overnight stays).
- Act as a subject matter expert for accountancy software platforms.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience as a trainer in the accountancy or software sector (minimum 3 years preferred).
- In-depth working knowledge of Accountancy software e.g. Nomi, Sage, Quickbooks or Xero.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong presentation and public speaking skills, with the ability to engage a variety of learners.
- Excellent understanding of the tools that can be used to deliver efficient training, online, onsite and through videos.
- Ability to explain complex systems in simple, understandable terms.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Flexibility to travel across the UK regularly.
- Familiarity with online meeting tools (Zoom, Teams, etc.) and screen sharing applications.
- Understanding of general accounting principles and practices is a strong advantage.
Desirable Qualifications:
- AAT/ACCA or other relevant accounting qualification (preferred but not essential).
- Previous experience delivering software training in a B2B environment.
