As we now return to ‘closer’ to normal, we know that the restoration of services for our patients is paramount.

As part of a newly formed Leadership Team we are looking to appoint a Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to our Executive Board. Accountable for professional leadership, clinical supervision and education of medical and pharmacy staff you will be the Trust’s Responsible Officer and oversee medical appraisal and revalidation. You will also lead clinical effectiveness, clinical strategy and research and development for the Trust and, with the Dual Chief Nursing Officer, you will play a key role in clinical governance and clinical leadership.

You will be pivotal to the further development of relationships with system partner organisations, alongside taking the lead role in addressing inequalities so that we can improve the health of our population and reducing inequalities for the people we serve.

We are seeking an exceptional Doctor with board level experience in a complex healthcare setting and significant understanding of and empathy for the services we provide. You must have a current GMC Registration and be licensed to practice. An inspirational and compassionate leader you will provide direction, purpose, pace and energy to ensure the entire medical and dental workforce is engaged, empowered, well- informed and playing the leadership role throughout the Trust that their level of experience and expertise merits.
