Hours: 8am-3pm 3pm-10pm 8am-10pm plus Sleep-ins
Contract Type: Permanent full time & Part time and 0 hour contracts available.

Hyland Support Service is dedicated to providing life changing support to extraordinary young people by an exceptional team. We pride ourselves on giving looked after young people aged 16-18 quality homes across our 6 supported accommodation homes.
Role Overview
As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in empowering individuals to live independently and achieve their personal goals. You’ll provide person-centred support tailored to the needs of each individual, ensuring their safety, dignity, and well-being. You will be a role model and have the ability to motivate and inspire our young people to prepare for adult life.
Key Responsibilities
- Motivate young people to engage in education.
- Encourage and promote independence, confidence, and social inclusion.
- Build positive relationships with young people, families, and other professionals.
- Be a positive role model to young people.
- Maintain accurate and timely records and reports.
- Assist with recreational and community activities.
- Adhere to safeguarding and health & safety policies at all times.
- Attend meetings in relation to the young people.
- Manage any incidents which take place.
- Attend all required training to equip you with the skills required to provide an excellent level of support to our young people.
What We’re Looking For
- A caring and empathetic nature.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently - ability to lone work and make safe decisions.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
- Previous experience in care or support work is desirable but not essential – full training will be provided.
- A valid driver’s licence (preferable with business insurance and access to own vehicle).
