Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Youth Leader to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for guiding and mentoring young individuals, fostering their personal growth, and providing educational support. This role is essential in creating a safe and engaging environment where youth can thrive, learn, and develop essential life skills.
Duties
- Facilitate engaging activities and programmes that promote learning and personal development among youth.
- Provide mentorship and support to young individuals, helping them navigate challenges and achieve their goals.
- Educate participants on various topics, including life skills, teamwork, and social responsibility.
- Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive programme that meets the needs of all participants.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive environment for all youth, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Monitor the progress of participants and provide feedback to parents or guardians as necessary.
- Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills related to youth work.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children or youth in a mentoring or educational capacity is essential.
- Background in special education or related fields is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with young people.
- A passion for youth work and a commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of young individuals.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
- Flexibility in working hours may be required to accommodate programme schedules.
