Job Title: Youth Centre Manager
Location: AMYC, 627B High Road, Seven Kings, Ilford, London, IG3 8RA
Salary: £25,500 – £30,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Bonus: Quarterly performance-based incentive scheme

The Role
We are seeking a passionate, driven, and experienced Youth Centre Manager to lead and manage all aspects of our centre’s operations. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires strategic thinking, strong community engagement, and the ability to inspire both young people and a dedicated team.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations and long-term planning of the youth centre
- Recruit, manage, and develop staff and volunteers
- Develop and manage budgets, including financial forecasting and reporting
- Identify, write, and secure grants and funding opportunities
- Lead on fundraising strategies and campaigns
- Create and nurture a positive, inclusive, and youth-centred culture
- Plan, coordinate, and evaluate a varied programme of youth activities
- Engage directly with young people, supporting their personal and social development
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local partners, community groups, and stakeholders
- Monitor performance against KPIs and manage outcomes tied to the quarterly performance scheme
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in youth work, community development, or managing a similar setting - Required
- Strong leadership and people management skills - Required
- Demonstrated ability in fundraising, bid-writing, and securing grants - Preferred
- Sound understanding of budgeting and financial planning - Preferred
- Excellent communication, networking, and interpersonal skills - Required
- A proactive, energetic, and hands-on approach to problem-solving and decision-making - Required
- Passionate about youth development and community impact - Required
- Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain) - Required
