Are you an experienced Site Supervisor with a background in paving and hard landscaping? We’re looking for a proactive and reliable individual to lead several gangs on a high-profile external works project in central London.
About the Role:
As Site Supervisor, you’ll oversee the day-to-day running of several paving and civils gangs, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. This is a hands-on role requiring a deep understanding of external works, civils, paving techniques, and hard landscaping.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all site operations, ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations
- Supervise site teams and subcontractors
- Coordinate materials, equipment, and deliveries
- Liaise with clients, project managers, and designers
- Maintain quality control and monitor workmanship standards
- Prepare and maintain site documentation and progress reports
- Resolve any technical issues or site challenges swiftly
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Site Supervisor in the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of paving, kerbing, drainage, and hard landscaping works
- SMSTS or SSSTS certification
- CSCS card (Black or Gold preferred)
- First Aid at Work certificate
- Excellent organisational and leadership skills
- Ability to read technical drawings and interpret specifications
Desirable:
- Experience with public realm or high-spec urban landscaping projects
- NVQ Level 6 in Construction Site Management or similar
