The Role
Hosting approximately over 120 weddings a year plus private events and conferences and a very busy bar, restaurant & terrace, we have a very fast paced working environment.
The role is very dynamic, incorporating a wide variety of tasks including working front of house when required. You will assist the Event Coordinators to ensure quality delivery of weddings and events and there will be progression opportunities for the right person.
This is a very hands on career opportunity within the event & wedding industry. This is an operations based role where you will be required to physically set up, run and breakdown the weddings and events while maintaining excellent customer service and the highest of standards. You will also be required to work until events/ weddings finish at 1am. So do not apply unless happy to do so.
Key Responsibilities
· Prepare, set up and breakdown weddings and events
. Serve the arrival drinks, canapes, wedding breakfast and evening buffet
. Use a plan to change the room around and ensure elements are in the right places
· To ensure events/ weddings run smoothly, on time and to a very high standard
· Deal with any issues that arise promptly and professionally
· Ensure excellent customer service throughout the event planning and delivery process
About You
As a member of the Wedding and Events team, you will need to be able to demonstrate a passion and energy for the industry. Excellent organisational skills, including multitasking, time management, and attention to detail are essential. Efficient, systematic, and methodical, you will enjoy the rush of events. Self-disciplined with a capacity for hard and effective work, you are also able to nurture collaborations, using your strong interpersonal and communication skills to cause others to work towards shared goals.
Ideally you will have events, wedding or hospitality experience.
Person Specification:
· Excellent interpersonal skills
· Previous experience within Hospitality or Events would be helpful but not essential
· Strong organisational skills with a methodical approach
· Enjoys working under pressure and can think on their feet and make decisions
· Responsible, Confident, forward thinking self motivated individual
· Takes the initiative to make sure the clients and business needs are met
· To not shy away from rolling up your sleeves and completing all tasks required for weddings and events to be set up, run and broken down successfully.
· To be willing and enjoy physical work
Job Type: Part Time but with potential for full time hours during busy periods
