Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Warehouse Worker with fork lift experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse by handling various tasks related to stock management, shipping and receiving, and materials handling. This position requires physical stamina and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Efficiently stock and organise products within the warehouse.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and effectively.
- Assist with shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accurate documentation.
- Utilise a Warehouse Management System (WMS) to track inventory levels and manage stock movements.
- Perform materials handling tasks, including loading and unloading goods from lorries.
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure products meet company standards.
- Engage in heavy lifting as required, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area to promote safety and efficiency.
Experience
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred but not essential.
- Familiarity with forklift operation is advantageous; certification is a plus.
- Understanding of shipping and receiving processes, along with basic warehouse management systems.
- Strong mechanical knowledge will be beneficial for equipment handling and maintenance.
- Ability to perform quality control checks and maintain high standards of accuracy in stock management.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work well within a team are essential traits for success in this role.
