WAREHOUSE SUPERVISOR

ARE YOU THE PERSON WE ARE LOOKING FOR?
The role shall provide the opportunity to ensure achievement of the stated aims and the leadership of a team in the following areas:
- Lead and motivate a team of Associates within the operation.
- Shift KPI achievement.
- Operational issue resolution at Shift level.
- Recommend improvement activity within the work area
- The role shall liaise with all levels within the operation
- Monitor performance identifying potential problems.

Complete audit activities as requested using CSN:
- Safety audit
- 5s Audit
- Ensure that daily operational Team briefs take place
- Resolve operational problems at a local level
- Ensure the flow of work through all areas are aligned to meet the requirements of the business
- Ensure all RTWi’s are completed at the start of shift on the day of return
- Ensure that all absence triggers are reported to the Shift Manager so that the Company process can be enacted

Conduct performance management reviews
- Scheduled performance reviews as per policy
- Annual appraisals
- Ensure that any unsafe acts or near misses are recorded with remedial actions identified

Conduct accident investigations on the day of the accident identifying
- Root cause
- Actions required to prevent recurrence
- Identify and coach Talent so that they have the skills to progress to Supervisor level
- Ensure that all daily work is completed
- Ensure that performance metrics for the shift are at or above target
- Ensure that all Colleagues are actively contributing to the results of the Team
- Ensure that any issues are resolved or escalated to the appropriate level
- Involve Associates in improvement activities by conducting listening groups etc.
- Adhere to all procedure related to people including induction, training and the recording of training
- Ensure compliance in relation to stock management best practice.

Desirable Qualifications & Experience:
- Understanding of employment law
- Certificate in Health and Safety (IOSH)
- Risk Assessment collation
- Experience of conducting investigations and disciplinaries
- Understanding of creative problem-solving tools and techniques
- Knowledge of lean six sigma
