Job Title: Warehouse Operative (Forklift Licensed)

Role Overview
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operative with a valid forklift license to join our team. You will play a key role in ensuring the efficient handling, storage, and movement of timber and related products within our yard and warehouse.
Working hours are Monday to Friday 8am-5pm plus alternate Saturdays 8am-12pm
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate counterbalance and/or reach forklifts to load, unload, and move timber and sheet materials.
- Accurately pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for collection or delivery.
- Check incoming deliveries against paperwork, reporting discrepancies or damages.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised yard/warehouse environment.
- Assist customers and drivers with loading materials.
- Carry out stock rotation and stock checks as required.
- Follow all health and safety procedures, particularly in relation to manual handling and forklift operations.
Requirements
- Valid and up-to-date forklift license (counterbalance and/or reach truck).
- Previous warehouse, yard, or trade counter experience (preferably in the timber or building materials sector).
- Good physical fitness and ability to handle heavy manual work.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Positive attitude with the ability to work well as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills when dealing with colleagues, customers, and drivers.
