Overview
We are looking for an individual who has a proactive approach to work, to oversee and coordinate the flow of goods through the warehouse. Their primary goal is to ensure smooth and efficient operations across the department. The position involves liaising between warehouse duties and with transport, purchasing and customer service.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for quality driven orders.
Responsibilities
- Plan daily work assignments.
- Monitor receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping activities.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and reconcile discrepancies.
- Schedule and track incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety and quality standards.
- Communicate with carriers, suppliers, and internal departments to resolve issues.
- Schedule and oversee the movement of goods (both inbound and outbound) across the UK, Ireland and Europe ensuring timely deliveries.
- Managing of the TSS documentation and declarations.
- Negotiate and liaise with carriers, haulage firms and 3PL providers to secure cost-effective and reliable transport solutions.
- Prepare, validate and maintain essential shipment paperwork such as Bills of Lading, packing lists, customs/export documentation & delivery dockets.
- Ensure adherence to transport regulations, including import/export rules and health & safety guidelines.
- Interface with warehouse and manufacturing teams to manage stock levels, avoiding overstock and stockouts.
- Coordinate goods receipt, stock allocation and shipping preparation.
- Monitor shipment progress, track delivery statuses, and log performance metrics (e.g. costs, lead times).
- Act as a central contact point for delivery queries, handling customer expectations and resolving issues.
- Work closely with internal teams (sales, customer service, order management) to provide accurate updates and ensure a seamless flow of information.
- Recommend operational enhancements and implement best practices in logistics procedures.
- Ensure all logistics activities are safe and compliant with company regulations and transport standards.
- Maintain accurate and traceable records of logistics operations.
Experience
- UK clean driving licence.
- Ability to engage with people in a positive manner.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
