About the role
We’re looking for a Video Producer to join our editorial video team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
This is a great opportunity for a visual storyteller who thrives in a fast-paced newsroom environment and is confident filming and editing video content that engages, informs and excites our audiences.
You’ll play a key role in producing high-quality video for PA’s multimedia customers, covering major breaking stories, entertainment events and key moments across the UK and beyond.
Based from our Paddington office, you'll collaborate with a talented team of producers and reporters and have the chance to make a real impact with your work.
Key responsibilities
- Film high-quality video content, both live and edited, across a range of events and locations
- Edit compelling and creative video packages using Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects
- Work under pressure to produce accurate and engaging content quickly
- Manage and administrate video content including headlines, captions and metadata
- Respond to customer and internal queries about video content
- Support the team in ensuring consistent editorial and technical quality
What you will need
- Professional experience filming with Canon and Sony broadcast cameras
- Proven ability to edit video quickly and creatively using Adobe Premiere Pro
- Strong understanding of video production, news storytelling and audience needs
- Excellent editorial judgement and grasp of grammar, SEO and metadata
- Good knowledge of current events, especially in news, sport and entertainment
- Experience working with a video CMS and understanding of UGC and verification
- Degree in video production, video journalism or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of media law and compliance in video journalism (desirable)
