Includes 1 in 4 Saturdays (8am–5pm)
Are you a people person who also loves animals? Do you thrive in a busy, team-focused environment where no two days are the same? Then we’d love to welcome you to our friendly team at Companion Care Southampton.
About Us
We’re an independently run practice led by our co-owners Ruth (Vet) and Carly (RVN). We also have a dedicated client care team consisting of 4 Receptionists. As an RCVS-accredited training practice, we pride ourselves on offering excellent care to pets while supporting our people to thrive in their roles.
We’re now looking for a part-time Veterinary Receptionist to be a welcoming point of contact for our clients, whether they’re bringing in a playful new puppy or coming in for a routine check-up.
The Role
As one of our valued receptionists, your day will include:
- Making clients and their pets feel at ease from the moment they arrive
- Supporting clients through their visit and ensuring they receive exceptional service throughout
- Handling queries in person, by phone, and email in a calm and helpful manner
- Managing bookings, payments, and diary coordination via our digital system (computer literacy essential)
- Dispensing prescription medications (training provided)
- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation throughout the practice, with a particular focus on keeping the reception area tidy and welcoming for clients and their pets
- Working closely with our clinical team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
This is a permanent, part-time role working 20 hours per week with 1 in 4 Saturdays (8am–5pm). Additional cover for holidays may be required by mutual agreement.
