This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic and creative Learning team whose vision is to act as a champion for art in society. We are looking for a candidate with excellent customer service to join our collaborative Schools Bookings team.
In this role you will be responsible for welcoming teachers and young people aged 5-18 to the gallery, supporting them to participate in the Tate London Schools and Teachers programme, and promoting both Tate Modern and Tate Britain as an alternative teaching and learning environment.
As a Schools Assistant, you will work closely with colleagues in the Schools Bookings team to book self-led visits, exhibition visits and artist-led workshops for school groups via phone and email. You will also book teacher professional development courses and private views, as well as promote a range of artist-devised teaching and learning resources. You will share responsibility for the administration of these bookings.
A Schools Assistant can also expect to provide administrative and logistic support for Assistant Curators as part of the wider Tate London Schools and Teachers programme.
