Rotherham Council’s Contracts, Investment and Compliance (CIC) Service have opportunities for one Technical Officer (specialising in Damp, Mould and Repair’s )
This is an exciting opportunity to work within the CIC’s technical team, attending visits to Council homes to survey for damp, mould, and associated repair works. Although a broad understanding of technical knowledge in relation to domestic properties is key for this role, full training around damp, mould, and as well as all the necessary equipment, including electrical monitoring devices, PPE, etc. will be provided.
The successful candidate will operate under the supervision and line management of the Senior Technical Officer
Job specific notes:
- Willingness to work occasionally outside normal working hours, for example to attend meetings.
- Willingness to undertake any training and development associated with this role, as and when required.
- Access to own transport to travel across the borough for appointments required.
There will be a need to climb ladders, e.g. to access loft spaces to check insulation training can be provided.

Until 31st March 2026 employees paid at Band D and above are subject to a temporary pay reduction of 1.15% spread out by means of a monthly deduction from each pay period over the full financial year.
