About the Role
This is a hands-on Team Leader role, ideal for someone with a strong background in housing-related support who is ready to step into a leadership position.
You will lead our dispersed housing support work across multiple properties, supervising one or two staff and holding oversight for complex casework, property safety, maintenance coordination, and partnership working. You will still be directly involved in supporting resident, but will also support on safeguarding, risk management, and service quality. You will report to and be supported by the Housing Manager.
What You Will Be Doing
- Leading on complex/high-risk support cases, safeguarding, and move-on planning.
- Supervising Housing Support Worker(s) and modelling trauma-informed practice.
- Carrying out property visits, inspections, and coordinating repairs.
- Supporting residents with budgeting, digital inclusion, and tenancy preparation.
- Recording all casework and property updates using Zoho CRM.
- Liaising with contractors, housing partners, and support agencies.
- Identifying opportunities for energy-saving and small grant applications.
- Occasionally responding to urgent issues outside normal hours (rare but essential).
_ What We’re Looking For_
You’ll need to have:
- 3+ years’ experience supporting people with complex needs (e.g. homelessness, mental health, substance use).
- A good understanding of housing support, property standards, and safeguarding.
- Experience of supervising, mentoring, or leading others.
- Strong communication and record-keeping skills.
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Bonus if you have:
- A qualification in housing, youth work, or social care.
- Knowledge of fire safety, repairs, or energy efficiency grants.
- Familiarity with CRMs (e.g. Zoho, Inform, Salesforce).
