Delivery Programme – Connect to Work
Subject to contract award, Connect to Work will support Lancashire residents facing barriers to employment, including those with disabilities, health conditions or other challenges. This new government-funded programme, part of the national Get Britain Working strategy, will offer personalised one-to-one guidance from Employment Specialists, rapid job search and sustained in-work support. Participants will benefit from vocational profiling, skills development, access to training and help with workplace adjustments. We will work closely with employers to create inclusive opportunities, ensuring roles match individual strengths and aspirations.
Our community-based approach will build trust, remove barriers and help people secure and thrive in meaningful long-term employment.
Lead the Way to Meaningful Employment!
As a Team Leader on the Connect to Work programme, you’ll lead a team of Employment Specialists supporting people with health conditions, disabilities or complex barriers into sustainable work. You’ll be responsible for driving performance, maintaining fidelity to the IPS model, and ensuring every customer receives consistent, person-centred support.
You’ll oversee day-to-day operations, coach and support colleagues, and lead reflective supervision to maintain quality and wellbeing. As a leader, you’ll bring clarity, accountability and care, balancing performance management with practical support. You’ll hold a small caseload yourself, modelling high-quality delivery and providing insight into what your team needs to succeed.
You’ll be managing a team working across a range of community and health settings, ensuring delivery remains consistent, connected and high-performing — wherever it happens. This is a pivotal role connecting frontline practice with programme leadership, using insight and data to strengthen outcomes for participants and employers.
Salary: £32,000 - £36,000
Location/travel: This contract will be carried out in: Blackburn, Darwin, Burnley, Pendle & Ribble Valley, therefore the ability to travel across this patch is essential.
A driving license and a car are essential to carry out this role.
What You’ll Do:
- Manage and support your team to deliver excellent employment support
- Monitor performance, caseloads, and outcomes using live data
- Coach, mentor, and motivate colleagues to reach their full potential
- Lead by example with your own customer caseload
- Build strong relationships with employers, NHS, Jobcentre Plus, and community partners
- Oversee safeguarding, quality assurance, and data compliance
- Promote inclusion, continuous improvement, and colleague wellbeing
Your Skills & Experience:
- Have the ability to embrace our company values which are Kindness, Respect, Integrity, and Innovation
- Proven experience working with people with mental health needs, disabilities or complex barriers to work.
- Experience managing or supervising frontline employment or health support teams.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding performance targets and service outcomes.
- Excellent communication, strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coach and influence others.
- Ability to build effective partnerships with health, community and employer stakeholders.
Desirable
- Experience delivering or managing services aligned with IPS fidelity standards.
- Knowledge of occupational health, Access to Work or job development strategies.
