Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential care and support to individuals in various settings, including home care and nursing homes. This role involves assisting clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being while promoting independence.
Duties
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
- Aid in meal preparation and ensure clients receive proper nutrition.
- Administer first aid as required and assist with medication management.
- Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in health or behaviour to the appropriate personnel.
- Take clients to appointments or social activities as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in care roles such as home care, or nursing home settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of first aid practices is essential.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and their families.
- A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting clients when required.
- A caring attitude and a commitment to providing high-quality support to individuals in need.
