Job Summary
As a Senior/Team Leader, you will play a vital role in assisting the Manager/Deputy in leading and managing our Children’s Home. Your dedication and commitment will be instrumental in creating a nurturing and supportive environment for our Children.
Duties
- To assist the Manager in providing a high quality service for children and young people requiring care.
- To lead by example and maintain good professional practices.
- To take responsibility for the safety and wellbeing of our children and young people, whilst on duty.
- To ensure all children have a plan, a risk assessment, behaviour management plan and any other child’s plan and that work is completed with them as instructed by their plans.
- To lead shift plans and weekly plans, guiding and supporting staff on duty to implement the plan and when incidents occur.
Experience
- At least two years’ experience in working with children/young people
- Minimum one-year at a senior level within a children’s home setting
- Experience of managing staff team
- Experience of working with children with challenging behaviours
- Have completed NVQ Level 4 in Residential Childcare or equivalent
- Excellent communication and written skills
- Have the ability to develop good working relations with the team, professionals and the young people
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £14.12-£15.27 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
