WELCOMING YOU TO THE TEAM

The Supply Chain function is ultimately responsible for quality, cost and delivery.

As a service to the commercial organisation, availability of the correct stock is the primary performance focus of the role, although this individual provides specific support to key customers with whom we have framework agreements requiring stock to be held or available at a specific time.

GETTING A FLYING START

This role is responsible for ensuring all aspects of inventory management and supply chain are effective, meeting both internal business and external customer satisfaction requirements.  The job holder will review sales patterns and trends to produce a sales forecast and using suppliers lead times will make purchasing decisions to replenish stock when it is required.

In addition, the Supply Chain Planner cooperates with the local CFO to collect, analyse, challenge and share all the required data regarding metal risk management at unit level in order to minimise the metal risk and therefore is the key contact regarding the metal process within the organisation.

The role requires an individual with keen commercial acumen, a ‘bird’s eye view’ and an ability to think and operate strategically while maintaining a hands-on approach to implementation.

This role is expected to deputise for the Supply Chain Manager when required, including problem solving and decision making at a senior level.
