Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled roofer to start a Solar panel Instal team. As a Solar Installer, you will play a crucial role in the installation of solar energy systems, contributing to the advancement of renewable energy solutions. This position requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Install solar panels and associated equipment on residential properties.
- Conduct site assessments to evaluate installation requirements and ensure optimal system performance.
- Utilise power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently during installation processes.
- Perform electrical work related to solar installations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Assist in digging trenches for wiring and other necessary groundwork as part of the installation process.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues that arise during installation and maintenance.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored after use.
Experience
- Proven experience in roofing and solar panel installations.
- Demonstrated ability to use power tools and hand tools effectively in various settings.
- Strong mechanical knowledge, particularly related to solar technology or similar fields, is preferred.
- Previous experience in outdoor physical labour or construction environments is beneficial.
- A commitment to safety practices and the ability to work at heights when required.

Pay: £18.00-£22.00 per hour
