Little Kingdom, a large-scale soft play centre for 300+ children, is opening this summer in Newport city centre, and we’re building a dependable and motivated team to deliver a safe, well-run, and enjoyable experience for local families. We’re now hiring Soft play Supervisors to oversee daily operations and lead the team during opening hours.
The venue includes a dedicated play structure, party rooms, a café, and an app-based food ordering system linking to nearby food outlets.
Your Role:
As a Soft play Supervisor, you’ll take ownership of day-to-day shift operations. This includes supervising the team, maintaining safety and cleanliness standards, managing customer interactions, and producing weekly staff rotas. You’ll also be a keyholder, ensuring the site opens and closes securely and operates efficiently in line with company standards.
This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone confident managing people and processes in a hospitality, leisure, or customer-facing setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee team members during shifts, providing direction and ensuring smooth daily operations
- Lead daily briefings, allocate roles, and complete shift handovers
- Create and manage weekly staff rotas to ensure adequate cover and efficient operations
- Deliver excellent customer service and resolve issues or complaints in real-time
- Supervise health & safety checks, food handling compliance, and allergen awareness
- Open and close the venue as keyholder; follow cashing up and security procedures
- Manage petty cash, stock levels, and basic ordering of supplies and consumables
- Keep accurate records of incidents, cleaning, maintenance, and staff performance
We’re Looking For:
- Experience in a supervisory or senior team role within hospitality, leisure, or family attractions
- Strong leadership skills and confidence supervising teams across busy shifts
- Comfortable managing cleanliness, compliance, and guest experience standards
- Organised, detail-focused, and able to adapt to changing situations
- First aid and safeguarding certification is required (or must be completed before starting)
- Willingness to work weekends, school holidays, and across a flexible rota
