Job Summary - MUST DRIVE
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Team Assistant to join our dynamic team in providing exceptional support within the healthcare sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in senior care, including experience with hospice care, medication administration, and case management. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our patients receive the highest standard of care while assisting with administrative tasks that facilitate smooth operations.
Duties
- Assist in the development and implementation of care plans for patients, ensuring their needs are met effectively.
- Provide support in medication administration, adhering to medical terminology and protocols.
- Collaborate with nursing home staff and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Maintain accurate records of patient information and care plans, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Engage with patients and their families to provide compassionate support and address any concerns regarding care.
- Participate in case management meetings to discuss patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary.
- Assist in training new staff members on best practices for patient care within assisted living environments.
Requirements
- Proven experience in senior care or a related field, with a strong understanding of hospice care principles.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and experience with medication administration.
- Familiarity with case management processes and the ability to develop effective care plans.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage positively with patients and their families.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, ensuring accurate record-keeping and compliance with healthcare standards.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also demonstrating initiative when required.
- Previous experience in nursing homes or assisted living facilities is highly desirable.
