Senior Care Assistant – Day Care Services (East London)
Full-time | Fixed Term (8 months) | Shift-based (including weekends and bank holidays)

We’re seeking two Senior Care Assistants to join our vibrant day care centre in East London. This is a pivotal role where you’ll supervise a dedicated team of care assistants and drivers, deputise for the Centre Manager, and ensure our service runs smoothly and safely.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Lead and support a team of care support workers and drivers, ensuring high standards of care and professionalism.
- Manage rotas to ensure full coverage, including for annual leave, sickness, and training.
- Oversee vehicle maintenance and insurance to ensure safe transport for our customers.
- Deliver person-centred care for older adults, including those with dementia, mental health conditions, and physical disabilities.
- Promote safeguarding and wellbeing at all times.
- Create inclusive and engaging activity schedules that reflect the diverse cultures of East London.
- Liaise with external agencies and attend meetings to advocate for customer needs.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to assessments, care plans, and reviews.
- Personal care.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience supervising teams in a health or social care setting.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding, health & safety, and care planning.
- Experience working with vulnerable adults, including those with age-related illnesses and complex needs.
- Ability to use initiative while prioritising customer safety and dignity.
- Creative mindset to develop inclusive activities that foster community and belonging.
- Excellent communication, time management, and IT skills.
- NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards Level 4).
