Amegreen Education, established in 2023, operates three schools in West Berkshire: Northcroft Secondary (KS3–KS4), Haywards Farm Primary (KS2–KS3), and a new feeder school opening in January. Northcroft will soon transition into a KS4 and Post-16 Vocational School, ideally located in central Newbury with excellent community and work experience links. We are seeking a School Senior Administrator to lead the administrative operations at one of our schools. This is a key role ensuring the smooth running of the school office and supporting our students, staff, and families.
Office & Team Management
- Lead and supervise the school office and admin team, fostering a positive and productive working environment.
- Oversee front-line enquiries and ensure visitors are welcomed professionally, with safeguarding checks completed.
- Review and improve office systems and ensure GDPR compliance across all administrative processes.
- Line manage admin staff, including appraisals, performance management, and training.
Admissions & Student Support
- Coordinate Reception admissions and in-year transfers, liaising with the Local Authority and internal teams.
- Support student inductions, including medical needs and data management.
- Maintain accurate pupil records across Arbor, CPOMS, B Squared, and manage CTF transfers.
Event & Trip Coordination
- Organise school events such as parents’ evenings, flu vaccinations, and school photographs.
- Administer school trips, including budgeting, bookings, and risk assessments via the Evolve system.
- Support whole-school events, including occasional out-of-hours activities.
Policy & Compliance
- Work with SLT to ensure school policies are current and approved by the Local Governing Body.
- Maintain the school’s policy tracker and support statutory data submissions to the LA.
Marketing & Communications
- Manage school communications via Arbor and ensure website content is up-to-date.
- Oversee social media accounts, support marketing initiatives, and promote school events.
Attendance & Safeguarding
- Monitor daily attendance, follow up on absences, and produce attendance reports for SLT and governors.
- Attend attendance meetings and liaise with the LA regarding fixed penalty notices.
- Report safeguarding concerns via CPOMS and assist with first aid and incident logging.
HR & Personnel Support
- Coordinate staff inductions and ensure compliance with ISS standards.
- Manage RTW documentation and support staff training and development.
- Assist SLT with supply cover arrangements and liaise with the training team.
General Administration
- Attend Trust forums and meetings to share best practices.
- Provide administrative support to SLT including minute-taking, report generation, and printing.
- Liaise with site maintenance to ensure timely resolution of issues.
Essential Requirements
- GCSE's or equivelent with Grade 4 or above in English and Maths
- Experience working within a busy office and managing staff
- Ability to deal calmly and professionally with visitors, parents and children over the phone and in person
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft packages
- Ability to work under pressure and multitask
