We have a fantastic opportunity to join our Retirement Living team as a Retirement Village Concierge at Cathedral Park, Hereford. Cathedral Park in a newly opened retirement village where occupancy is gradually increasing.
In this important customer-facing role, you’ll help create a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment for our residents. From responding to enquiries and supporting tenancy sustainment, to keeping the building safe and secure, you’ll be a key point of contact who helps make the Village a great place to live.
You’ll also support with activities, respond to emergencies, and ensure health and safety standards are met across the building.
This role includes sleep-ins, which are paid additionally at £55 per night, and requires flexible working on a 3 week rolling rota — including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
About You
You’ll bring experience of working in a customer-facing or housing role, with a genuine passion for providing high-quality support to residents. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as you’ll be a first point of contact for our community and someone residents can rely on.
You’ll be organised and reliable, confident in handling a busy and varied workload, and adaptable to changing priorities. You’ll have good IT skills, an understanding of safeguarding, and a willingness to learn and develop within the role.
Importantly, you’ll be a team player who is committed to building positive relationships with residents, colleagues, and external partners. With a flexible approach to working, you’ll be comfortable with shift patterns, evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins, always ensuring the safety and wellbeing of residents is at the heart of what you do.
A valid driving licence and access to a car are essential, as is the flexibility to cover colleagues when required.
