Driving is essential for this role, as you will be required to support your young people on activities of their interest, and support them to attend education as well as maintain family contact. There is also a requirement to support our young people to access health appointments.
Your role will be inclusive of: -
-Supporting access to education as well as supporting at home learning for those young people who have education provided on site.
- provide support, guidance and advise on matters relation to the young person’s care and support requirements.
- Computer literacy is key as we use Clearcare online systems to support our young people's relevant plans and to ensure effective record keeping is maintained whilst they are in our care.
- Provide assistance with daily living tasks such as support and encouragement to maintain personal hygiene, medication, meal preparation, emotional support, housekeeping tasks and preparation for adulthood tasks.
- Safeguarding is a key factor in the role and central to our practice. You will be trained in this area and there is an expectation that whilst the young person is in our care they are appropriately safeguarded ensuring appropriate professionals are aware of any incidents, risks or issues.
Previous experience working within a care setting is essential, experience working with children is desirable and a commitment to undertaking Level 4 in health and social care is mandatory for all staff who do not hold this level as per the regulations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Driving is Essential to the role - all driving convictions and points must be disclosed at interview due to the companies insurance policy requirements.
An enhanced DBS check and SAFER recruitment checks will be followed, all gaps in employment must be accounted for.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £12.50 per hour
Sleep in rate of £81 per night
Expected hours: 38 per week
1 Sleep in required per 2 day shift, working on a rota of 2 on and 4 off
1st day - 8am – 11pm (sleep in)
2nd day - 8am – 10pm – end of shift
