Job Description
One Step Care are looking for a confident staff member with at least an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Health and Social Care and who is able to build strong relationships with young people and work in a solution focus way. This opportunity is for Residential Support Workers to work in our Children's Home with up to four young people, aged 10-18 years old. Our home accommodates children and young people with emotional and/or behavioural difficulties.

Who we are looking for:
As a Residential Support Worker, you will work as part of a wider team to assess each child’s needs, implementing individual care plans and providing a level of supervision and support. You will build close relationships with the children in our home, supporting their life’s, hobbies, education, and relationships outside of the home.
As a member of our team it is important you have a great sense of humour, you are fun to be around and have the ability to work flexibly to achieve the best outcomes for our children. Our children love trying new things, and going new places, they love planning days out to make sure no day is the same.
The successful applicant will be required to supervise and support children and young people. Helping to develop and maintain their skills to live independent and fulfilled lives and to ensure that the support provided meets the needs of the child and promotes their individual rights, choice and independence.

Desirable Requirements
Hold a transferable DBS
Ability to drive and hold a current full driving licence;
Knowledge of Child Protection & Safeguarding
Support Environment: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
NVQ Level 3 Health & Social Care or equivalent
