Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Residential Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing assistance and support to individuals, particularly children, in their daily activities. This position requires effective communication skills, the ability to drive, and a good understanding of IT systems to manage care plans efficiently. The Support Worker will ensure that the needs of the individuals are met while promoting their independence and well-being.
Responsibilities
- Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
- Develop and implement care plans tailored to the individual’s needs and preferences.
- Communicate effectively with individuals, families, and other professionals to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in the individual's condition.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to enhance the individual’s quality of life.
- Drive individuals to appointments or social activities as required.
- Utilise IT systems for documenting care plans and tracking progress effectively.
- Engage in childcare activities when required, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children.
Requirements
- 2 years Previous experience working with children or in a similar support role is highly required.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with individuals and their families.
- Familiarity with IT systems for managing care plans is advantageous.
- A compassionate attitude with a commitment to promoting the independence of those you support.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing situations and individual needs
- Level 3 in Health or Social Care or a willingness to work towards.
