The Residential Team Leader plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of a residential care setting, ensuring that the needs of children are met through effective care plans and supportive environments. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to lead a team in providing high-quality childcare. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and possess a solid understanding of IT systems to manage documentation and reporting efficiently.

You must have previous and relevant experience of working with young people and families or have worked in a residential setting and have extensive experience of working with young people experiencing crisis. A strong background in therapeutic parenting, behaviour support and de-escalation techniques is also essential. A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare and full driving license is essential.
We need someone who has an exceptional ability to lead by example, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to inspire and motivate teams. You will have the ability to adapt to changing environments and overcome challenges with a positive attitude.
Duties
- Lead and supervise a team of caregivers, ensuring high standards of care are maintained.
- Develop, implement, and review individual care plans for each child, adapting as necessary to meet their evolving needs.
- Communicate effectively with children, families, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive support.
- Drive initiatives that promote the wellbeing and development of children in care.
- Conduct regular assessments and evaluations of team performance, providing constructive feedback.
- Organise team meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and strategies for improvement.
- Maintain accurate records related to care plans and daily activities.
