At Swan Children’s Homes, we believe every child deserves a safe, loving environment where they can heal, grow, and thrive. Our homes provide a stable, nurturing space for children who have faced significant challenges—and we’re looking for compassionate, resilient, and enthusiastic individuals to join our dedicated team.
About Us:
Swan Children’s Homes is more than just a workplace—it’s a place where lives are transformed. We offer residential care to children aged 5 - 12 who may have experienced trauma, neglect, or family breakdown. Our approach is trauma-informed, child-centred, and relationship-based. We pride ourselves on being a team that truly cares—about our children, our colleagues, and our mission.
What We’re Looking For:
We’re on the lookout for people who are:
- Naturally nurturing, patient, and emotionally intelligent
- Calm under pressure and able to set clear, consistent boundaries
- Team players with a big heart
- Comfortable with the unpredictable—but rewarding—nature of children’s residential care
Whether you’re experienced in social care or looking for a fulfilling new direction, your life experience and attitude matter just as much as your qualifications.
Your Role Will Involve:
- Building trusting, meaningful relationships with young people
- Supporting children through their night time routines - and being there to support them if they need throughout the night
- Managing difficult behaviours with empathy and consistency
- Advocating for children’s needs and encouraging their strengths
- Being part of rota including weekends, and bank holidays
We Offer:
- Full training and ongoing professional development
- Clear progression routes and opportunities to grow within the company
- A supportive team culture where your wellbeing matters
- Enhanced pay for qualifications and leadership responsibilities
- The chance to make a real and lasting impact on young lives
