Children’s Therapeutic Residential Support Workers
(Full-time | Waking Nights | Senior and Standard Roles)
£14 – £16 per hour (depending on experience and role)

Lavender House is a therapeutic children’s home providing care, safety and emotional support to children aged 8–17. We are now recruiting dedicated, resilient and compassionate Residential Support Workers to join our growing team in Rugeley, Staffordshire.
The Role:
As a Therapeutic Residential Support Worker, you’ll provide day-to-day emotional and practical support, helping children feel safe, listened to, and valued. You’ll contribute to a nurturing home environment, promote consistent routines, and use trauma-informed approaches including PACE and NVR (training provided).
Senior Support Workers will also provide guidance and leadership to other staff, contribute to care planning, and support the management team in ensuring high standards of care.
Waking Night staff will ensure children are safe, supported and supervised throughout the night, and that the home remains calm and secure.
We’re Looking For:
- Experience working with children or young people (residential or similar care settings)
- A trauma-informed, child-centred approach
- NVQ Level 3 Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards this)
- Strong communication, emotional resilience and reflective skills
- A willingness to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and/or waking nights
