Job Summary
The Rehabilitation Assistant plays a vital role in supporting individuals recovering from injury or illness. This position involves working closely with rehabilitation professionals to implement rehab plans and assist clients in achieving their rehabilitation goals. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a compassionate nature, and the ability to drive to various care locations as needed.
Duties
- Assist rehabilitation professionals in implementing care plans tailored to individual client needs.
- Provide support to clients homes and community settings, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Facilitate therapeutic activities that promote physical, cognitive and emotional well-being.
- Maintain accurate records of client progress and communicate updates to the rehabilitation team.
- Drive to various locations as required, ensuring timely arrival for scheduled appointments.
- Implement rehabilitation interventions at a rehab centre
- Work collaboratively with rehabilitation professionals and or rehabilitation peers.
- Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes effectively.
- Foster positive relationships with clients, demonstrating empathy and understanding throughout their recovery journey.
Experience
- Previous experience in rehabilitation and / or the care sector are highly desirable.
- Previous experience in the exercise and sporting world is desirable.
- Familiarity with developing and implementing rehab or care plans is advantageous.
- Strong command of English, both written and verbal, is essential for effective communication with clients and team members.
- Proven IT skills to manage documentation and client records efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills are necessary to build rapport with clients and collaborate with healthcare professionals effectively. Pay: £15.00-£20.00 per hour
