Role Responsibilities
- Provide personalised support that focuses on what works best for each individual, promoting choice, independence, and dignity.
- Champion and encourage independent living, helping individuals build skills and confidence in their daily lives.
- Lead, supervise, and mentor support workers to ensure a motivated, skilled, and compassionate team.
- Complete regular staff supervisions, appraisals, and development plans to maintain high standards of practice and continuous professional growth.
- Plan and manage team rotas and staffing requirements to ensure consistent, safe, and efficient service delivery.
- Conduct quality assurance activities, including audits, spot checks, and service reviews to uphold best practices and regulatory standards.
- Review accidents, incidents, and near misses to identify improvements and strengthen safety across the service.
- Participate in the recruitment, induction, and smooth transition of new individuals into the service.
- Create, review, and update personalised support plans and risk assessments using company systems, ensuring these reflect current needs and preferences.
- Promote and uphold the core values of Believe Care and Support in all aspects of your work.
- Act as an advocate and a voice for individuals with learning disabilities and mental health support needs, ensuring their views are heard and their rights are respected.
- Take part in the on-call rota, providing responsive leadership and guidance when required.
- Step in to cover staff absences when necessary to maintain continuity of care and service.
- Support the team with ad-hoc operational tasks, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach.

About The Role
Working Hours
The role requires flexibility to meet service needs across Lancashire, directly supporting complex individuals and teams with availability to work shifts, weekends, sleep ins, 40 hours week. (support and admin hours included)
Primary Services
- St Annes: Assisting a woman with Prader-Willi syndrome. Support involves 1:1 assistance (with some 2:1 hours for activities) and sleep-in at night.
- Blackpool: Supporting a gentleman with a learning disability and OCD. Provides 1:1 support for five hours daily.
There is an expectation that the role will expand alongside the company i.e. when we begin to support new individuals within Lancashire and Blackpool.
Other Services
- Lancaster: Assisting a woman with autism and bipolar disorder. Staffing includes 2:1 support during the day and 1:1 with sleep-in nights. Has a long term Team Leader in post.
- Morecambe: Supporting a gentleman with autism and fragile epilepsy, currently residing with parents. Provides 2:1 support Monday to Friday.

Salary
£15.00 per hour
