The Gwent Regional Partnership Team provides support to the 5 Local Authorities, Health, Third Sector and partners within the Gwent region to take forward their duties and responsibilities under the Social Services and Wellbeing (Wales) Act 2014, which came into force on 6th April 2016.
The Partnership Team have a key role in supporting the governance arrangements required under the Act, and in particular servicing meetings under the Regional Partnership Board (made up of Local Authority lead executive members, Health Board non-executive directors, and senior tier officers in both Social Services and the Health Board, as well as senior representatives from the two Community Voluntary Councils in the region).
The Gwent Regional Partnership team coordinate and manages the Regional Partnership Board (RPB), Regional Leadership Group and 7 strategic partnerships that come under the RPB governance structure as well as, a Regional Citizen Network, Section 16 Forum, Commissioning led meetings as well as more ad-hoc regional meetings that support the work and priorities of the Gwent RPB.
The Gwent Regional Partnership Team is hosted by Torfaen County Borough Council.
There is now a fixed term vacancy for an experienced senior administrator to join the team, and work with the Head of the Regional Partnership Team, Service Manager and other leads to support delivery of the RPB work programme at a regional level. This fixed term post is ideal for someone wishing to develop and expand their skills in working at a high level across a wide-ranging and often complex work agenda.
You will be confident, focused, flexible and well organised with good customer care and IT skills. You will be required to link on a regular basis with partners in different organisations as well as the general public. You will be able to prioritise work effectively, be organised and have excellent minute taking skills with the ability to capture key points in wide ranging discussions, and able to link with Chairs and leads to ensure timely and accurate submission of documentation such as reports and papers for discussion.
