We’re Hiring: Volunteer Vibes Manager (aka Recruitment Coordinator – 6-Month FTC)
Location: Batley WF17 (plus the occasional road trip to Milton Keynes)
Salary: £25,033 per year
Hours: 36 hours a week
Contract: 6 months of high-impact, heart-filled hustle
What’s the deal?
We’re teaming up with a national charity that’s all about doing good – and doing it big. Think community-powered change, warehouse wizardry, and behind-the-scenes magic for some of the UK’s best-loved festivals.
They need someone to bring the people power – and that’s where you come in. As our Recruitment Coordinator, your mission is to attract, welcome, and retain an unstoppable squad of volunteers across our buzzing Batley and Milton Keynes hubs.
This role is equal parts recruitment, people-whispering, event prep, and spreadsheet sorcery. Sound random? It kind of is. In the best way.
What you’ll actually be doing:
- Running full-speed into volunteer recruitment like a human megaphone for good vibes
- Creating campaigns that actually get attention (we’re talking beyond the beige job board stuff)
- Popping up online and IRL to spread the volunteer gospel
- Delivering inductions that are more “TED Talk energy” and less “PowerPoint snoozefest”
- Keeping volunteers feeling seen, supported, and smiling
- Hitting KPIs and tracking progress like the numbers ninja you are
- Collaborating with internal teams, external partners, and local legends to boost the volunteer base
- Keeping the admin tight – inboxes cleared, spreadsheets updated, records glowing
You’ll love this gig if you…
- Have experience in volunteer recruitment, community work, or people-first roles
- Can juggle 12 flaming tasks and still remember everyone’s name
- Know how to write emails that people actually read
- Speak fluent “human” – warm, clear, confident, relatable
- Are low-key obsessed with being organised and making processes smoother
- Know your way around Microsoft Office (yes, Excel counts as a second language)
- Can take feedback, run with it, and make magic happen
Bonus kudos if you:
- Have worked with volunteers in retail, events, or fast-paced settings
- Know your COSHH from your risk assessments
- Understand safeguarding in a charity or youth-based context
The (fun) fine print:
- You’ll occasionally travel between Batley and Milton Keynes – on our dime, of course
- You’ll be part of some seriously exciting festival projects
- You’ll report to the eCommerce Manager but also work with a brilliant volunteering team who actually enjoy what they do
So, what now?
If you want six months of doing work that matters, connecting with incredible humans, and being part of something much bigger than yourself – this is it.
Apply now through THH Recruitment and let’s make something awesome happen.
