Part-time Receptionist role (3 days per week) - starting in October 2025
Carvers Solicitors is a well-established high street law firm based in Ward End, Birmingham, providing professional, approachable legal services in areas such as family law, wills & probate, childcare, and conveyancing. Carvers is a trading name of The Wilkes Partnership LLP.
We are now looking for a friendly, enthusiastic, and highly organised Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our office and the backbone of front-of-house operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer incoming calls promptly and professionally, passing messages accurately
- Greet clients and visitors with warmth and professionalism, including walk-ins
- Manage all incoming and outgoing post
- Monitor and replenish stationery supplies
- Manage meeting room bookings and ensure readiness
- Provide admin support to legal teams: scan and file documents, carry out AML checks
- Archive and retrieve case files as needed
- Process card payments from clients
- Keep the reception and shared office areas tidy and well-presented
- Report and follow up on any maintenance issues with the Facilities team
What We’re Looking For
- A strong communicator with excellent customer service skills
- Friendly, professional, and confident in dealing with clients face-to-face and by phone
- Able to work independently, take initiative, and stay calm under pressure
- Reliable, punctual, and capable of opening the office by 9:00 AM
- Previous experience in a receptionist or front-of-house role, ideally in a professional setting such as legal or medical
Part-time, office-based role (3 days per week, ideally Monday, Thursday, and Friday), 8:45 AM – 5:15 PM
Salary: £24,000–£25,000 per annum (pro-rata)
