We’re looking for an experienced and highly organised Document Controller to join our Energy Department. In this role, you’ll play a key part in supporting multiple projects by managing technical and commercial documentation from initial request to final client submission. You’ll be responsible for gathering, reviewing, tracking, and submitting essential documents such as test reports, manufacturing certificates, and quality procedures, ensuring all deliverables meet client specifications and project deadlines. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in document control within the Energy, Oil & Gas, or Nuclear industries, excellent communication skills, and a keen eye for detail. Experience working with SAP and a good understanding of project documentation processes is highly desirable.
Main activities/Responsibilities:
- Support commercial activities with documentation support
- Collaborate and communicate with managers and project leaders for regular progress reporting of work.
- Maintain multi item registers and organise document submissions via Document Registers
- Supporting where needed with Projects (can be up to several projects at one time)
- Reviewing and supporting technical queries
- Following project specifications and quality plans to ensure the client and projects expectations and requirements are managed and met throughout the lifecycle of all projects
- Participating in project related meetings, both internally and with clients, from project Kick-Off to post order review
- Improving and managing our quality document processes
- Working with our client base to ensure timely management and submission of all documents, including pre-manufacturing and post-order packs
- Reviewing incoming documents and ensuring any corrections or revisions are made prior to client submission
Our Expectation:
- Previous experience in a commercial environment.
- Knowledge of SAP is desirable
- Competent in all MS Office applications.
- Drive and enthusiasm with a will to learn and progress.
- Minimum of 5 years demonstrated in this type of role
- Experience within the Oil and Gas / Energy / Nuclear industry supply sections Or Pipework and Fittings industry preferred.
- Fluent in English – speech and writing.
- Occasional site visits to UK locations when required
