Summary
We are seeking a Project Lead to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee project activities, ensuring they align with our mission of community engagement and accessibility. Your leadership will be crucial in fostering partnerships and driving successful outcomes for our programs. Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role within youth projects and community centres.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage project teams to deliver high-quality community programs.
- To identify and deliver training on planning, session delivery and evaluation of activities
- To lead by example, be punctual, professional and motivated
- To research, apply and source project funding
- Take on the the role of a safeguarding officer
- Communicate with landlords, funders, and other external agencies
- Implement and communicate to all staff up to-date and relevant policies and procedures
- Monitor and take responsibility for the projects Health & Safety, GDPR and legal requirements
- Assist in the recruitment, reviewing and HR process for the project
- Plan staff to deliver activities, monitor and record weekly staff rota/hours
- To identify and maintain the planning and implementing of project activities
- To collate reports and evaluations from workers who deliver project activities
- To attend, chair and minute meetings as required by the line manager
- To establish and maintain professional relationship with a range of contacts
- Undertake any other tasks deemed appropriate for the responsible project person
- Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets while ensuring adherence to organizational goals.
- Collaborate with local schools and agencies to identify needs and opportunities for engagement.
- Monitor project progress, implementing adjustments as necessary to achieve objectives.
- Facilitate communication among stakeholders, providing updates on project status.
- Conduct root cause analysis to address challenges and improve processes.
- Mentor team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and growth.
Qualifications
EDUCATIONAL/VOCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
A recognised professional qualification in business management, business skills, community education, youth work or similar level of qualification to match the personal specification.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
The post holder is required to have a minimum of 1 year experience working in a customer relations position within a business environment, communicating with customers, staff and other departments and external businesses while having the ability to manage challenging timescales. Experience working on your own initiative while managing enquiries, collating data and producing reports.
PVG SCHEME:
This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check upon a formal offer being made by Starpic Project.
