Job Summary
As part of the team, the postholder will support the provision of an efficient and comprehensive secretarial service to our consultants. They will also work collaboratively with external third parties maintaining high level communications whist working within agreed processes.

There are currently 24 consultant partners, with significant further growth anticipated.
Principle Objectives
To ensure a high standard of secretarial and administrative service is consistently delivered by undertaking / delegating all required tasks and activities on daily basis.
To utilise the required technology and tools and any that are introduced to deliver the services.
To recommend and support the implementation of service improvements to own and team working practice to improve workflow.
To train and develop other team members to ensure competencies are developed, sustained and updated to deliver the required level of service.
Key Responsibilities
Organising each Consultant’s diary and updating relevant parties of this.
Organising patient appointments / procedures
Dealing with all incoming enquiries (Telephone/email/letter)
Maintaining and updating patient records accurately
Preparing patient letters and reports – these will already be typed
Liaising with medical insurance companies
Organising patient appointments with external Consultants/hospitals/health professionals
Working independently and as part of a team
Ensuring the smooth running of the Consultant’s practice
Keeping highly confidential information.
To ensure patients and hospitals are kept informed of any delays and proactively manage situations.
To undertake any other duties as directed by the management team

Hours: Full Time 37.5 per week Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm
Salary: £30000 - £32000

Please note you will be required to attend in house training in London for 2 weeks.
